Colorado shows its work

Colorado's public servants manage a state operating budget of about $49.5 billion for FY 2026-27.[1] Colorado already publishes its spending through the State Controller's Transparency Online Project (TOPS).[2] Colorado OnChain builds on that good work with one permanent, tamper-evident record that anyone can check.

The budget says where dollars are meant to go. We want every Coloradan to see where they actually go, step by step: from appropriation to agency to program to payment.

The gold standard

Colorado has a proud record of leading. Making every dollar verifiable is a natural next step, and a chance for Colorado to show the nation what responsible spending looks like. Colorado already opens the books. We're working toward a path any family can follow.
